Description
Wetrix is a puzzle video game for the Nintendo 64, developed by Zed Two and released in 1998. It’s best described as a 3D aquatic-themed puzzle game where players manipulate falling pieces on a square grid to create enclosed spaces, effectively building dams and walls. The goal is to prevent water, which is also a falling piece, from spilling off the grid by channeling it into lakes or safely evaporating it with fireballs. Occasional bombs and earthquakes add a layer of challenge. The game combines elements of strategy and real-time problem-solving, resulting in a unique, genre-bending experience that melds aspects of water management with traditional block-dropping puzzle mechanics.
