Description

Space Invaders, originally released in 1978 for arcades and later ported to the Game Boy in 1994, is a seminal shoot ’em up video game created by Tomohiro Nishikado. It established the fixed shooter genre and paved the way for the modern gaming industry. Players control a laser cannon moving horizontally across the bottom of the screen to fend off waves of descending aliens, who become faster and more challenging to defeat as the game progresses. The Game Boy version retains the classic gameplay and is compatible with the Super Game Boy adapter, featuring exclusive color graphics when played on the SNES.
