Description
Great Greed, released in 1992 for the Game Boy, is an early example of a console role-playing game. Developed by Namco, it’s known for its environmentalist-themed storyline and distinctive combat style that differs from other RPGs of that era. The game is set in the fictional world of Greene Kingdom which is threatened by the industrialized Bio-Haz empire led by an evil entity named Bio-Haz. Players take on the role of the hero, named Mic, who must unite with allies to restore balance and protect the kingdom. The game’s unique mechanic is that combat is one-on-one and time-based, adding a level of strategy and pacing distinct from turn-based RPGs.
