Dig Dug II: Trouble in Paradise is an action puzzle game released by Namco for Nintendo NES in the late 80s. In the sequel to the popular Dig Dug game, the player controls the eponymous character, Dig Dug, on a series of floating islands. Wielding an air pump and a jackhammer, Dig Dug must fend off the Pookas and Fygars, and either inflate them until they burst or break the islands, sending them into the sea. The game features two types of levels: digging like the original game, and floating island stages. Featuring vibrant visuals and an intriguing gameplay strategy, Dig Dug II offers a more tactical take on the Dig Dug formula.
