Description
Commander Keen was initially released for MS-DOS computers in the early ’90s as a series of episodic platform games developed by id Software. It stars an eight-year-old genius named Billy Blaze, who dons his brother’s football helmet and becomes ‘Commander Keen.’ Later, in 2001, a version of Commander Keen was developed for the Game Boy Color by David A. Palmer Productions, which expanded on the original’s universe and brought Commander Keen’s adventures to a handheld format. The GBC version combines elements of the classic side-scrolling gameplay with new features suitable for the Game Boy Color. It is notable for being one of the few handheld entries of the series.
