Description

Mercs is an arcade-adventure shoot ’em up video game originally released by Capcom in 1990. It is a sequel to the 1985 game Commando. It was later ported to a range of home platforms, including the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. The game puts players in control of mercenaries tasked with rescuing a former president from rebels in a fictional African country. Players must fight through various levels, using a variety of weapons and vehicles. Mercs is known for its top-down gameplay and cooperative mode where two players can join forces.
