Gauntlet IV is a classic action dungeon crawler game initially released for the Sega Genesis in 1993. A direct port of the arcade game ‘Gauntlet,’ it added a new ‘Quest Mode,’ transforming the arcade experience into an adventure with RPG elements. Players can choose from four characters – Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard, and Elf – each with unique abilities, and traverse through various levels filled with hordes of enemies and treacherous traps. The game is known for its cooperative multiplayer gameplay, allowing up to four players to team up and navigate through mazes while fighting off ghosts, grunts, and demons.
